Description
Alberta’s Land Stewardship Act enables a number of innovative approaches to conserving the natural capital associated with our landscapes and ecosystems. This talk will review these approaches in light of what has been learned in other jurisdictions. Challenges and opportunities in moving from project based to cumulative effects management will be considered, particularly implications for how we think about reclamation and restoration.
