Job Description:
EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd (EBA) has an immediate position for an Intermediate Biologist in our Vancouver Environment Group. This is your opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team of experienced biologists, scientists, and technical staff in meeting today’s environmental challenges with innovative solutions. The Vancouver Environment Group provides environmental permitting, impact assessment, biophysical inventories, and environmental management services. The successful candidate will conduct field studies, identify mitigation and compensation opportunities, prepare environmental permit applications, conduct data assessment, prepare reports, and manage projects.

Qualifications:
You will work closely with other staff to help organize and implement multi-disciplinary projects. You will aid in the development and implementation of work plans, budgets, field study plans, and be able to enter, manage, and analyze data. Successful candidates for this position will ideally possess the following qualifications and traits:
• A minimum of a B.Sc. in biology, preferably in aquatics.
• Must be an R.P.Bio. or eligible for registration
• Certified or able to become certified for electrofishing.
• M.Sc. degree or post-graduate diploma in a related environmental discipline will be considered.
• Have a minimum of five years of relevant practical experience.
• Have knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements and processes in BC.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• A positive, innovative, and service-oriented attitude.
• Experience or ability to conduct field studies in remote locations.
• A willingness to travel, participate in field work, and work non-standard hours as required.
