Junior Water Quality Specialist

Our Calgary office seeks a junior Water Quality Specialist to join our growing Aquatics team.

The Water Quality Specialist will be part of an integrated Fisheries and Water Quality team. Responsibilities will include: collecting, handling, tracking water quality samples as well as assisting with the analysis of results; and assisting with aquatic habitat assessments, fish assessments, stream crossing (QAES) assessments, and lake and river surveys (including bathymetery). This position largely involves field work but also includes office duties including data analysis and writing.
Applicants must have a bachelorâs degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science or related field and 0-2 years of experience. Candidates must be able to pay attention to detail, have strong communication skills (verbal and writing), be physically able to meet the demands of field work; and have a class 5 driverâs license.
