The Role

The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary environment with our Engineering, Science and Social and Economic professionals. The position involves acting in a senior capacity on wildlife technical matters, reviewing wildlife team membersâ?? work, designing robust quantitative sampling and study programs, undertaking and/or overseeing wildlife data analysis and modeling. The jobholder will work closely with the Discipline Manager of Terrestrial Ecology and other senior members of the team to ensure the delivery of robust science and project objectives.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have advanced level technical skills in the relevant scientific field, an expertise in several terrestrial species (ideally including ungulates, bears), excellent writing skills, expertise in wildlife modeling/statistical analysis, knowledge of appropriate federal/provincial wildlife and Environmental Impact regulations / legislation, educated to M.Sc. level or above with at least 15 years of relevant experience, will be registered a Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio), excellent communication and time management skills, experience of managing multiple project activities, project budget management experience, and experience of presenting to a variety of audiences, including clients, regulatory authorities and to technical teams. Experience of consulting, environmental impact assessments and the mining industry is preferred.
