The Opportunity
We are seeking an Intermediate Environmental Specialist to support field-based projects across Western Canada. This role combines technical fieldwork, environmental monitoring, data interpretation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Construction environmental monitoring and compliance inspections
• Wetland delineations and biophysical assessments
• Aquatic habitat and wildlife surveys
• Soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling
• Implementation of EMPs, erosion and sediment control, and spill response
• Technical report writing and regulatory documentation
• Coordination with clients, contractors, and regulators
Qualifications
• 3–6 years of environmental experience
• Degree or diploma in environmental or related field
• Professional designation preferred (P.Biol, R.P.Bio, P.Ag, AScT)
• Experience in mining, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects
• Background in wetland, aquatic, or biophysical assessments
Work Environment
Remote-based role with frequent travel to field sites, long field days, and work in varying terrain and weather conditions.
