Pisces current job opening is for a Junior Fisheries Biologist. This is a full time temporary position to start, with the hope that the successful candidate will advance to a Fisheries Biologist and eventually a Senior Fisheries Biologist permanent position.
Pisces is looking for someone that is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic. This person will be able to manage well as part of a team but also on their own. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree with preference going to specialization in environmental studies or an aquatic or fisheries background. The candidate should also be a professional biologist, biologist in training or eligible to apply to become either.
Experience is an asset but is not required. Fieldwork will make up a large portion of the duties of this position therefore the strength and ability to work outside in varying weather conditions and with physically demanding terrain is a must. The ability to pull a trailer, operate quads, boats, skidoos and argos is a requirement.
The position start date will be in mid May 2020 or possibly sooner/later depending on successful candidate and work schedules.
