As of July 1st, 2016, Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) began the transition toward the requirement for professional authentication for regulatory documents submitted under the Alberta Wetland Policy. This is to provide assurance to Albertans that wetlands are being managed to the highest possible professional standard.

In order to authenticate a regulatory document submitted in accordance with the Alberta Wetland Policy, an individual must possess a professional or technical designation from one of the 10 Professional Regulatory Organizations that are signatories to the practice standards.

It is the responsibility of professional members to read through and understand the practice standard. We have included it here for review.

The final document will not be available until Fall 2016.
