If you have not been to a Great Plains conference, the first day’s highlight will be the traditional “Fish Fry” followed by the auction that evening beginning at 6:30pm. DON’T FORGET TO BRING AN ITEM OR TWO FOR THE AUCTION! Proceeds from this event will go towards a Lethbridge student in Fisheries Science. Just remember that a very poor, misguided student studying fisheries science needs your help. We can all relate because we were all once that student.
Remember to spread the word about this conference, we always welcome new attendees. There will be many quality presentations and opportunities to meet professional colleagues in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our conferences activities are renowned as we offer the rare combination of good fun, support of the upcoming generation of fishery workers, and practical information exchange.
We also ask that you gather some pictures of you doing your work so that we can have a slideshow running of all member states and provinces working to make life better for fish. Please send the pictures to Ryan Lyster Ryan.Lyster@gov.ab.ca or Emeric Janssens Emeric.Janssens@gov.ab.ca by January 15th, 2019!
