Peatland Ecology Field Course
The NAIT Centre for Boreal Research is offering a three-day hands-on training session led by Dr. Dale Vitt and Dr. Bin Xu, on September 9 - 11, 2019. Participants will: Learn key characteristics of Alberta's common peatland types and their associated vegetation; Participate in classroom training on peatland ecology, classification, bryophyte biology/ecology, and peatland restoration; and Practice peatland classification, bryophyte identification, data collection, and analysis of peatland vegetation and chemistry in the field
