Plant Identification Course
Tannas Conservation Services Ltd. (TCS) and Eastern Slopes Rangeland Seeds Ltd. (ESRS) are offering a one to four day plant identification course on June 10 13, 2019 at Cremona and Cochrane, Alberta. The course will be held in three components: Forbs, Grasses, and Willows/Sedges. Each component will involve a short classroom session, but will focus on hands-on, field keying and identification using The Common Plants of The Western Rangelands field guides. Field locations include Cochrane Hill or Glenbow Provincial Park, the ESRS Greenhouse, and a forest reserve west of Cremona, Alberta. It is possible to attend any combination of days, but attending the first day of the Grass course is highly recommended if attending the second day.
