Environmental Technician, Seasonal (2 positions)

Purpose of the position

The position will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Performing field work such as watershed quality sampling.
  • Assists in organizing and participating in public environmental displays, workshops, field days 
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of environmental programs
  • Participating in safety protocols and administrative tasks as required.

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Post-secondary Diploma in Environmental, Conservation or Biological Sciences - completed or nearing completion
    • Combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Hold a Pleasure Craft Operator License or willing to obtain one.upon season commencement
  • Ability to drive a truck and trailer combo is an asset.
  • Experience reading a municipal map and GPS is an asset

 

Position details:

  • Hourly wage:  $26.71 to $29.00
  • Temporary full-time position – May to August, 2026  
  • Hours: Based on a 40-hour workweek. Working days and evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Students must currently be enrolled and returning to full-time studies in September, 2026
