Volunteer Professionals are the lifeblood of this Society in all matters, including governance (the Board of Directors), regulated committees (e.g. the Registration, Practice Review, and Discipline committee) and staff committees (e.g. Practice Area Steering Committees, Conference Committee, Professional Development Committees, Student Outreach Committee). Volunteers are highly valued and are essential both to fulfilling our public (government) mandate and to keeping membership fees as reasonable as possible for all our members.

CURRENT ASPB VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Fresh from the success of our 2019 ASPB conference, we are calling for volunteers to help organize our 2020 Conference! At this time, we are planning for an inaugural meeting of the 2020 Conference Committee in late January (with a view to holding the 2020 Conference in October or November).
The Conference Committee develops many aspects of the ASPB's highly regarded annual conferences. From developing the Call for Papers to drafting the program and investigating venues and locations, this Committee will ensure the conference is engaging, informative, timely, and relevant to the practice of biology in western Canada and particularly in Alberta.
