The Alberta Lake Management Society (ALMS) is seeking an outgoing individual with biology, environmental science, or public health backgrounds for our Recreational Water Technician position. The position is best suited for new or recent graduates from a Bachelor of Science, technical diploma program, or related education. The work term will run for 4 months (full time from May to early September). The successful candidate will support the coordination of recreational water quality monitoring activities under the Alberta Safe Beach Protocol at priority locations throughout Alberta. The position will have a blend of office work and fieldwork and, though based in Edmonton, involves considerable driving throughout the province. This position requires excellent personal skills, including communication and organization.
