Strum Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated environmental professional with 7+ years of relevant experience to join our growing Site Assessment and Remediation (SAR) team in our Calgary Office.

Role Description

As a Senior Environmental Professional, you can expect to spend time both in the field and in the office. Your typical day could also include the following:

  • Managing small- to mid-scale environmental projects from planning to execution
  • Supporting proposal developed including scopes of work, budgets and technical content
  • Identifying new opportunities and nurturing client relationships
  • Leading all components of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Coordinating and executing field programs (e.g., safety, contractors, etc.)
  • Installing and developing groundwater monitoring wells
  • Collecting field samples including soil, groundwater, and/or surface water
  • Compiling clear, concise, and accurate field notes
  • Tracking and managing field costs and project expenses
  • Coordinating/liaising with clients
  • Preparing technical reports (e.g., Environmental Site Assessments)
  • Preparing regulatory submissions including Records of Site Condition
  • Supporting existing field and reporting teams as needed

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma from a post-secondary education program related to environmental studies, geoscience, or environmental engineering.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant field-based experience.

• Proficient in English (written and spoken).

• Possess a valid Canadian Driver’s License.
