According to a communiqué from Environment and Climate Change Canada, a Notice of Opportunity has been posted seeking Sustainable Development Advisory Council (SDAC) members. There is no compensation provided for time nor expenses for  SDAC members and while there are no Alberta-specific positions available, the following opportunities are broadly available: business organizations representative (1); environmental NGO representative (1) and Indigenous representatives (3).

Council members are appointed by the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change to review and provide advice on the draft Federal Sustainable Development Strategy. The Council plays an important role in shaping the strategy, helping to ensure it reflects partner and stakeholder perspectives.
